There are lots of things that can be changed in human life but aging is immutable. As one ages, the body changes not just by appearance, but how it functions as well.
Wrinkles form and sometimes, age spots appear on the hands. These symptoms are often associated with aging.
However, many studies have shown that aging process can be slowed by what we eat. Good eating habits and proper nutrition can help one look healthier and younger. Various foods have proven to be potent influences for the slowing of the aging process. Here are five (5) examples of anti-aging foods to keep you in shape.

Garlic

Garlic is a rich strong herb that fights free radicals on the skin that promotes aging, thus slowing the process. It helps treat colds, remove wart and treats athlete’s foot. Also, it offers several health and skin-related benefits.

Garlic

Nuts

A handful of nuts to a daily diet is very beneficial. Nuts are rich in omega fatty acids, which increase brain function. Many nuts (especially almonds) are a great source of vitamin E. They help repair skin tissue, retain skin moisture and protect the skin from ultraviolet rays which causes skin damage. Eating nuts is linked to reducing risk for heart disease and prevention of cognitive decline in older adults.

Nuts

Avocado

Avocados contain fatty acids that promote smooth skin. They also contain a variety of essential nutrients such as vitamins (A,C,B,K,E) and potassium that prevent negative effects of aging. Avocado can be eaten in a form of salad, smoothie or eaten raw.

Avocado

Sweet potatoes

They contain vitamin A which help restore skin elasticity, promote skin cell turnover and contribute to soft, youthful-looking skin. This delicious root vegetable is also a source of vitamins C and E. They keep one’s skin radiant, as well as protect it against photo damage and cancer.

Sweet potatoes
Salmon

Salmon is an anti-inflammatory packed fish that is rich in protein and vitamin D. The vitamin D helps maintain healthy bone strength and avoid osteoporosis. Eating salmon with fresh vegetables will keep one’s taste buds satisfied and stomach full.

Aging, as mentioned, is an inevitable process that every individual must undergo. These foods mentioned will not prevent one from aging, but simply delay the process.
